Just in time for The Great Forest Park Balloon Race (September 19-20), Keith Fear, owner and chief pilot of Balloons Over The Rainbow, gave us step by step instructions on how to fly a hot air balloon. Despite my fear of heights, I had so much fun! The basket was way more stable than I thought it would be, so I stopped shaking pretty quickly...haha

Wow what a trip huh.Not to many people have the courage to float around in a balloon over St. Louis.But considering it was rush hour traffic you probably had the best ride around.I'm also impressed that you were able to take picture's.You would have had to pry my fingers off the basket. I'm sure going on a trip like that you have a new appreciation for our beautiful countryside.You can't see that in Chicago.Think about it!

My gosh, you're brave! I've seen enough footage of balloons 'going up in flames' that they scare me to death! Of course, you're so bold, you would probably love to jump out of a perfectly good airplane too, huh? (or have you already 'been there, done that'?) Cool footage, mighty brave one!

What an awesome flight! I had such a great time flying with you three! Come out and play with us anytime, you are always welcome! We couldn't have asked for better weather, better flying conditions, better launch and landing sites, better scenery, or better company. What an awesome day! We look forward to flying with you again!
