The story
From the outside, Plowsharing Crafts is unassuming. It looks similar to many of the other pleasantly artistic stores that the Loop plays host to. But two minutes into a conversation with Rich Howard-Willms, the manager of the store, I knew that the store was about something bigger than provid Check out the full story.
Good question. We are named after the Biblical "turning your swords into plowshares", having extended the word into "sharing". One thing I didn't share is that Plowsharing is actually owned, as a not-for-profit by the local Mennonite church, and Mennonites are historically a peace church. Peacemaking, and turning swords into plowshares, is a big part of who we are as Christians. Thanks for asking.
