Meet the Cover Legs Behind St. Louis Magazine's Fashion Issue

I had the September issue of St. Louis Magazine on my desk for about a month before I wondered about those hot stilettos the cover model was wearing. Then I got to wondering about the model. You only see her legs, so who was that model behind this glossy cover photo?

I had a chat with Katie Kearney (she's under "women" - third row down, third from the left in that link), the face behind the lengthy gams, which helped get me in the mood for the upcoming St. Louis Fashion Week. Make sure you check back next week for Melody and DSly's coverage from the runways.

How does it feel to be that "ideal pair of legs” that was selected for the cover?   My agency sent me on a go see at St. Louis Magazine. I was really honored to be chosen for the cover, but more importantly, I just had a lot of fun doing it!

Do people recognize your legs? Only one of my friends have recognized my legs which I thought was funny. I'm not sure if my own parents would even noticed had I not told them in advance.

What about St. Louis Fashion Week are you most excited about? St. Louis Fashion Week has been getting better each year. I am excited to hear which designers are being used and who shows up to the shows. I also heard some top girls will be in the shows.

What's it like being a popular model in St. Louis? I love modeling here. I have had the pleasure of meeting some really talented and unique individuals, such as Kimora Lee Simons. There is never a dull moment

What are your modeling goals for the future? It is difficult to manage school and modeling sometimes which is unfortunate. I would love to move to California or New York to model, but I do realize how important it is to get an education before anything else. So first, I will finish up school at Mizzou and then hopefully pursue modeling as a career.

If you recognize her from her head shot, it's because her impressive resume includes shots in St. Louis Magazine, Dillards and Dekalb Wingwear. She also strutted the runway at St. Louis Magazine's Fever Fall Fashion Show 2006 and 2008 (see left), KMOV's Stars on Broadway, Alive Magazine's Liquid Style, Caroline D'amore's Swimsuit Collection, Pronto Fashion Show and Alive Magazine's Glow. I'm sure we'll see more of this leggy St. Louisan in the future.
