This just in…For one night only, St. Louis’ best corporate bands have agreed to pause their Star Trek rerun watching to rock out for an admirable cause. That’s right, the annual Battle of the Corporate Bands gets underway this Friday, October 3 at Off Broadway, a location on Lemp Avenue that sort of (in a cool kind of way) resembles a mothers’ basement, which should ensure the groups are familiar with their surroundings.
Where else could you see the Laclede Gas Flames, the AT&T All Stars, The E-Rockers, Pro Bono & the Non-Billables, and CitiBand all in one place? We’re talking groups that rock so hardcore that doing it full-time would be lethal. That, or they just realized there’s more fame, chicks, dudes, and money in the corporate world.
As if this event didn’t kick enough tail, you can rest assured every penny of your $5 ticket ($8 at the door) hits the coffers of the United Way, a group dedicated to making this world a better place. So, if you’re looking to grab a beer, hear a tune, and you have a few bucks to spare, you could do a lot worse than the Battle of the Corporate Bands. For more, click here or click the Video tab to kill a few minutes watching a video the groups threw together to pimp the event. See you there!
