Ballpark Village has been an eyesore in downtown St. Louis for quite some time now. Seriously. I won't even climb onto my soapbox this time, because I think most of you feel pretty darn similarly about the muddy field alongside our awesome new(ish) ballpark.

Thankfully, a few inches of snow can make even Ballpark Village look majestic and clean. But what someone did after our most recent snowfall is even better than that. Someone - an awesome someone - painstakingly stomped out the words "CUBS SUCK" in the middle of the snowy expanse of land that might someday be Ballpark Village.

To whoever took the time to create this beautiful masterpiece, thank you for brightening my day. Because of you, I can not appreciate St. Louis' snowfall, despite how sore my butt is from wiping out this morning.

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Mr. "Cubs Suck" himself. Tim O. and Jason N., the genius perpetrators, stomped this message in the snow around 1 a.m. last night. They called their mission "Operation Broglio," and if you're a Cardinals/Lou Brock fan, you'll appreciate that one. According to Tim, it was a well thought-out plan that consisted of the two of them waddling around side-by-side like penguins while their pals up high in the Ballpark Hilton helped them navigate. St. Louis thanks you gentlemen.
