If you listen to some people, especially parents, over the age of 35, you wouldn't be reading this right now because you would know that anything you do on the internet allows the crazies in the world to find out where you live so they can find you and steal all of your credit card information and do something terrible. As enlightened as that point of view may be, there are many new laws being passed in an attempt to make the web a safer place for surfers of all ages.
Well, grab your surfwax because there is one less danger lurking in the smutty waters of cyber-space. This week MySpace removed 90,000 sex offenders from their site, and recently a convicted sex-offender from Illinois was arrested for failing to tell anyone he had a MySpace page. Rah-rah, get the sex offenders off the net and save the web world, right? So ended the dark days of the MySpace internet era, feel free to post every piece of your personal information on the web... after all, the bad guys are gone now.
