Facial hair is a commitment for men; there is an initial growth period followed by constant trimming and grooming. Guys will try to make it look like its a ramshackle mess and they are too cool to care what it looks like, but facial hair takes work.

A brand of facial hair perhaps even more beloved than the soul patch, the 'stache, is getting a turn on the trend table with the fingerstache. The fingerstache, once simply drawn on with a dark mark, is being tattooed on the index fingers of ladies and gentlemen all over the country. There is even a fan site for the fingerstache, where more than 250 people are posting their pics with their 'stached fingers - markers decked and permanent varieties are all welcome.

It's not the stink finger, it's the fingerstache.

For those of us who are fans of instant gratification mustaches, but are a little less committal there is always the neckstache, a necklace that instantly transforms the wearer into a 1930's carnival barker. There are 63 different styles of the neckstache to choose from on the independent craft site, Etsy.com, and if you are really nice, this St. Louis crafty lady might make one for you, too. She made a killer neckstache with purple sparkles and has been sporting it around town for a couple of months now.

Who says facial hair has to come with a commitment, grooming hassle or even testosterone?
