We Know You Love St. Louis, But What Would You Change About it?

I like The Lou just the way it is, maybe clean the city up a bit to make it more enjoyable???

I definitely agree with the warm weather! A little bit of Florida in Missouri would be nice!

I noticed some things when I was in Nashville recently.

1. Nashville was a lot cleaner than St. Louis.
2. The buildings were actually occupied downtown.
3. It was safe to walk around at night.
4. You could actually walk from your hotel and there were shops and restaurants and bars everywhere to walk and see.
5. The quality live country music any time of day was awesome, but I don't really expect that here.

Less hot & humid in the summers please and no tornadoes ever! Oh, and no more earthquakes.

Metrolink everywhere, all the way to Jefferson County and Lake St. Louis.
More bicycle races/fitness events.
We could use a few more fantastic small to mid-sized music venues.
Less taxes.

talking about the geography of the city or the weather is kind of a copout. I wish people would give more answers about things that can be changed. LIke I would love to see that damn "St. Lou IS" campaign go away. That's retarded

Anyway, I'd say better public transit. I'm out in the boonies, but If we had public transit that rivaled chicago, we'd be set!

I def agree with the guy who wrote about nashville. i grew up in st louis but have lived on both coasts and now in nashville. st louis needs to clean up downtown. all the great cities have a kickin night life in the city. boston, seattle, chicago, and nashville. you can walk around down there and the public transportation is safe and well lit. it's good that you guys are posting this because if st louis doesn't do something soon, it's really going to hurt the citizens. there's such rich history downtown, i think it's just lame that it's going to waste the way it is.

The bar scene is nice due to the fact that I live in South Florida and it over price, over crowded and just flat out insane sometimes....

I would like to see the road systems in STL changed, its a nightmare. I love our N/S/E/W only grid style roads down here, express ways with fast pass lanes, etc... Even though our highways are 5 lanes wide and due back up, thats due to population not crappy planning. I also hated going to the city of STL and only did for Football/ Baseball games; I never found any other reason to ever go there. The exact opposite is true down here we go into the cities to party at night and feel safe.

That being said- downtown could sure be a lot safer. Although- that's not really changing the city so much as it is changing its inhabitants. After all- the city itself doesn't commit crime, the people do.

It's been mentioned, but I would definitely love to see metrolink expanded to all over.
