Winter winds and flurries might make a appearance this weekend, but there is plenty to do around town to warm your soul. There is plenty to do with the kiddies in tow, but if you are looking to leave the booster seats at home there is a lot to do, too. Here is a quick look at some of highlights around town:

  • Friday the final show at Cruisin' Route 66 will feature Science Hill as they kick-off their nationwide tour. The show starts at 8pm, cover is only $6 and you get four bands for your buck. Get the scoop on Science Hill's sound and listen before you go in our interview with the band from earlier this week.

  • Saturday grab your chaps, your ten-gallon hat and bring the family to the Professional Bull Riders Invitational at the Scottrade Center. The riders will be competing all weekend long, and tickets start at only $12.50, and the competition starts at 7:00pm. For the kidless set, there is also the STLPunk.com "The Winter Sucks" show at Pop's; this all ages show starts at 6:00pm, cover is only $7 and there are door prizes to be had. If you are looking for something completely different, head to Union Station at 4:30 to behold St. Louis' first Silent Rave - totally free and will only last about 15 minutes. You can even bring your iPod and a well timed watch to join in on the fun.

  • Sunday is a day for family, and what better way to end the weekend than by taking the kids to see some double-feature theater? Goodnight Moon & The Runaway Bunny will be on stage at COCA all weekend with shows at 1:30pm and 3:30 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $14-$18. The hip-hop set can also head down to the Fox to check out Ne-Yo at 7pm. You can get the scoop on Ne-Yo and see one of his videos in our story about the show from earlier this week.

Go forth and do good St. Louis!
