The musical lineup for Rib America has been announced, and you will never guess who is playing. Cowboy Mouth... again. KSDK.com is reporting:

The 10th annual event will be at Soldier's Memorial Plaza at the intersection of Market and Tucker Streets May 22 through the 25th. Each day, the event will start at 11:00 a.m...

...The music begins on the Budweiser Music Stage at noon on May 24th with The Elms. The performers at 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. are still to be determined. Cowboy Mouth will perform at 6:30 p.m...

Despite the number of times they play in our fair city, the band, once known for their song "Jenny Says," is not from St. Louis; they are actually from New Orleans. I am operating on one of two theories here, either one of these guys is a St. Louis baby-daddy or St. Louis is the last city with Cowboy Mouth fans. Either way, Cowboy Mouth will be here again on Memorial Day weekend for Rib America, along with Bret Michaels of Poison, Firehouse and Warrant taking over the festival's main stage.

  • At this point, wouldn't it make more sense for them to open up a Branson-style theatre somewhere downtown? Maybe they could get John Heder to open for them by doing the Napoleon dance, and then Craig Hawksley can do some low-grade Shecky Greene stuff.

Finally they come out and kill it with "Jenny Says" all decked out in sequined glory, then pick out a couple of divorced moms who always wanted to be groupies to romp with backstage.

    Remember, the 7 o'clock is different from 11 o'clock!
  • LOL, they could totally use the space formerly known as ballpark village!
  • Griff is from Mexico, MO and Fred used to date a woman here for a long time.

StL is very loyal to Cowboy Mouth but they are still popular in a lot of other cities besides here. Check out their site and you can usuallly see several sold out shows all over the states!

They are actually getting ready to go to Iraq to tour for the troops!

    Signed..a very loyal CM fan
  • That would explain why they are playing here all the time, honestly I had to look b/c I thought they were a local band
